Dear David

I wonder if you would consider lending me £20. I can most definitely pay you back £2 a month. At the end of every month of course, I will keep my word to you David.

This house I am living in is condemned & I have to vacate it in two weeks so I want to go back to London in the Chalk Farm area.

Will you please do this for me please David.

No doubt you will see me in Sandor will you?

Love

Betty May Bailey.
